Make Your Job Description Accessible

Gendered, ageist, and ableist language is language that is discriminatory against these particular groups. This type of language in job descriptions can cause people to feel excluded from jobs that they are qualified for. This tool checks job descriptions for ableist language and suggests alternative phrasing that supports more fair and inclusive hiring. This tool also now highlights when a job description is lacking a salary or salary range (when £, $, or € is used to denote currency). I'm also working to make this a bit more user friendly. Bear with me.

Get Started

Paste your job description into the text box below. If you want to try a new job, hit 'The Tool' and it will reload a fresh page with an empty box to paste a different job description. This tool works contextually, so pasting in a list or words won't highlight all of them, so be sure you put in sentences and phrases to get the best value from the tool. This tool also now highlights when you don't include a salary or salary range for the role.
